Veterinary disclaimer

The calculators and articles on PetCalcKit are for general information only. They are not veterinary advice, diagnosis or treatment, and using them does not create a relationship between you and a veterinarian.

Calculator results are estimates based on typical values from veterinary references and published research. Individual animals differ, and a result can be wrong for your pet because of breed, age, health conditions, medications or information we don't have.

Always ask your veterinarian about your pet's health, diet and treatment. Never delay getting veterinary care, or ignore advice from your vet, because of something you read or calculated on this site.

If you think your pet is ill, injured or has eaten something toxic, contact your vet or an emergency vet immediately. In the US you can also call the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center at (888) 426-4435 or the Pet Poison Helpline at (855) 764-7661; both may charge a consultation fee.
